Guardianship Workshop
The library, in conjunction with Probate Division of the Fresno County Court and Central California Legal Services currently offers a workshop on obtaining guardianships in California. The workshop is held on the First and Third Friday of every month in the Soley Conference Room on the first floor of the Self-Help Center at the B.F. Sisk Courthouse located at 1130 “O” Street, Fresno, CA 93722. The doors to the workshop open at 8:15 a.m. and close at 8:30 a.m. The workshop features an informational video on the process, a general presentation on guardianships, and guidance on completing the paperwork for a guardianship. Conservatorship Workshop
The library, in conjunction with Central California Legal Services, currently offers a workshop on obtaining a conservatorship in California. A conservatorship is a court case where a judge appoints a responsible person (a conservator) to care for another adult (the conservatee) who cannot care for himself or herself or manage his or her own finances. The workshop is held on the fourth Thursday of every month at the offices of Central California Legal Services, 2115 Kern Street, Fresno CA, 93721. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. and features information on the rights and responsibilities of the conservator and conservatee, guidance on completing the process of filing for a conservatorship, and the opportunity to speak with an attorney for free about legal questions concerning conservatorships.
