The Central Valley Immunization Information System (CVIIS) is a regional effort of public health departments in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mono, and Tulare Counties In the Heart of California. Our region shares the goal of increasing the rates of fully immunized children and reducing the number of unnecessary immunizations.

The Healthy People 2010 Goal is to have 95% of all children ages 0-5 years of age enrolled in a fully operational Immunization Registry. How is CVIIS doing?

Currently 73.88% of our region's children are entered into the CVIIS with 2 or more immunizations recorded.

What Is Healthy People 2010? Healthy People 2010 is a set of health objectives for the Nation to achieve over the first decade of the new century. It can be used by many different people, States, communities, professional organizations, and others to help them develop programs to improve health.
