An Immunization Registry is a confidential computerized database that stores and tracks childhood immunization records and recommends dates when vaccinations are due.
The Central Valley Immunization Information System (CVIIS) is a regional effort of public health departments in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mono and Tulare Counties with the shared goal of increasing the rate of fully immunized children and reducing the number of unnecessary immunizations. The CVIIS recently participated in the Programmatic Registry Operations Workgroup - 1 of 10 in the nation looking to implement the PROW standards of Excellence.
