Design Division Mission Statement

To provide quality design services to our customers by applying our technological and scientific backgrounds to the planning, designing and management of public works projects for the achievement of safe, efficient, convenient, economical and environmentally compatible movement of people and goods, and facilities for the public. The Division is committed to provide the above services in a most cost effective, prompt and responsible manner in an environment which promotes professional growth and employee pride.

The Design Division is responsible for the preparation of plans, specifications, and contract documents for various Public Works projects; traffic and transportation programs and studies; various public infrastructure facilities, capital improvement projects; consultant oversight, when necessary; and handling the County’s real property transactions. The division is involved in the formation of County Service Areas and Underground Utility Districts.
