The Resources Division is responsible for County water and energy programs, solid waste coordination, solid waste disposal activities, geologic activities, administration of County service areas, lighting districts, waterworks districts, maintenance districts, and working with the State and other agencies on water, solid waste, and hazardous waste management planning.

New Residential and Commercial Solid Waste Collection Services
On August 30, 2005, the Fresno County Board of Supervisors (Board) approved and executed exclusive service area program agreements with 14 existing haulers and adopted the related ordinance code.  Click here for more information...

Public Education
Teachers in public and private schools throughout Fresno County can request solid waste educational assistance with classroom presentations, tours of the American Avenue Landfill, teachers workshops, and other resources, free of charge.
Literature addressing a variety of ways to manage solid waste is available to the public upon request. Speakers are also available to address civic and community groups regarding solid waste issues.
