About the County Administrative Office

The County Administrative Office functions as the operations arm of the Board of Supervisors and carries out its mission of delivering the highest quality of public services. We oversee 23 departments with 7700 employees dedicated to finding better, more effective, ways to meet the needs of County residents.

We administer the County’s 1.45 billion dollar budget that funds services in public safety, law enforcement, agriculture, public works, human services, libraries and elections. Our office takes the lead in activities to improve the quality of life in Fresno County including economic development, capital improvements, and tourism.
