Welcome to the City of San Joaquin – the “Everything is Possible “City.
With a population slightly over 3600, San Joaquin is the smallest city in Fresno County.
Surrounded by some of the richest and most fertile agricultural land in the Central Valley
San Joaquin is only thirty miles west of Fresno’s urban center.
The City is situated within easy travel distance between two of America’s most beautiful cities
– Los Angeles to the south and San Francisco in the north. Both cities are easily accessible
via Interstate 5, a major California transportation artery.
Another transportation option is Manning Avenue; a well-maintained local road that connects
Fresno and Tulare counties. With off and on ramps from Highway 99 and Interstate 5, Manning
traverses State routes 33 and 145 and Hiway 41.
Under the leadership and vision of San Joaquin’s elected officials, professional staff and
civic-minded citizens, the community is growing. Plans are underway to expand its core landscape,
offering opportunities that will undoubtedly make this rural community an icon for its residents
and its commercial enterprises.
With easy accessibility, an aggressive approach to growth for commercial and residential elements,
a wireless communication system, affordable housing, friendly small-town appeal, and a soon-to-be
beautified downtown, San Joaquin is poised for, and is taking advantage of, its’ prospects for a
bright future – The City’s leaders truly envision that in San Joaquin, “Everything is Possible.”
